A Prophetic Truth.
"In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the wayside he went to it, and found nothing on it but leaves only."
Christian missionalministry hangs upon these two correlative truths: leaves for self, fruit for others! A church well furnished with plant, facilities, and staff is the richly leafed tree. How well that church, through its missionalministry, cares for its own needy and for the poor within its reach is one key measure of the fruit which this tree bears.
Making connections with volunteers and clients while feeding those in need.
Helping, being with, and praying with those in need while doing that for them what they cannot do for themselves.
As it says in James 2:14-26, Faith without action is dead. We take the time to live out our faith in our community with action. Our acts of service through our MissionalMinistry include providing a listening ear, a helping hand and support to obtain the right services and care available to individuals in need.
The central truth to our Mission is "Missionalministry", all truths that are based on the teachings of the Word of God. The foundation of our heart desire to serve others comes from the love of God which is in our hearts for others.
“If we aim at ministry, we seldom get to do much mission. But if we aim at mission, we have to do ministry because ministry is the means by which mission is achieved. The established church has generally got this wrong. Most never get to do real mission with real outsiders because they aim primarily at the “saved.” This we believe is a distortion of authentic New Testament faith and praxis. The church does not exist for itself but for its mission.”
